VP of Venture Funding

Bogotá, Colombia

Polymath is the venture builder for Latin America, designing and building (from scratch) innovative tech ventures for the middle class. We take a unique, methodological approach to venture building: We attract the best local and international talent to jump into and remain in entrepreneurship, taking founder roles at the helm of our ventures. Polymath co-builds with these founders, taking a hands-on approach throughout the entire venture lifecycle.

With six fast-growing ventures and a number of new ones to be designed and launched in the coming years, our ventures engage in significant fundraising activity across a number of different stages and variety of investors. In terms of stage, our ventures raise external funds from Series Seed to beyond and eventual exit. In terms of investor segments, they raise capital from Angels, Family Offices, VCs, and Strategic Investors both regionally and internationally. To-date, our ventures have raised more than $25M of equity capital and significantly more when including debt.

Polymath’s Venture Funding team works with our venture founders throughout the entire lifecycle of funding rounds, from prep to closing, and is responsible for building an engaged network of venture investors. The VP of Venture Funding will be a trusted advisor to our founders, working with them to strategize and structure funding rounds, prepare pitch decks and financial models, pitch to investors and navigate the due diligence and closing processes. The VP will also be responsible for building a strong network of venture investors.

This is a very interesting and valuable role for anyone interested in working with early and growth stage investments and entrepreneurship, with unique exposure to both fundraising processes and the opportunity to work directly with entrepreneurs. In addition, the VP will lead a highlight talented international team. The position will report directly to Polymath’s CFO.
