We recently announced Ana Barrera as new CEO of Aflore, one of our latest ventures. We were excited about what Ana brought to the project and anticipated exceptional things. Here is one piece of great news:
Agora Partnerships has chosen Ana as one of seven McNulty fellows in their Accelerator Program for 2014. The McNulty Fellowship supports women entrepreneurs in Latin America participating in the Agora Accelerator Program. Ana will receive the benefit of the Agora Women’s Scholarship Fund, which provides access to critical support to female entrepreneurs.
Here is what Agora offers through the program:
The Impact Accelerator program identifies and then connects these promising impact entrepreneurs with the knowledge (human capital), networks (social capital), and financial capital they need to attract capital and grow. The Agora Accelerator has four modules that are tailored to an entrepreneur’s company stage and needs: Entrepreneur Retreat; Business Model Consulting; Investor Conference; and Deal Closing. By enabling the growth of participating companies, we magnify the impact they create.
Ana has already attended the Entrepreneur Retreat in Nicaragua and she is thrilled with the idea of heading to San Francisco to meet new investors for Aflore. “The added value of this opportunity is the excellent guidance and support Agora gives to projects. Investors trust Agora and this represents a great advantage for us,” added Ana.
We couldn’t be more delighted for Ana and Aflore.
