Our Story

From a small, donated office in a university to a multi-country portfolio of companies

Great year for Polymath! Started the year launching 2 new ventures, Ropstar and Tani, a growing team of 300+ people, and new financing rounds increasing our total capital raised to $50M+.

In the beginning - June of 2012 - we recruited ten talented (and a little crazy) people for the first Ideation project in Medellin. In three months, we designed two venture concepts: Taximo and Aflore. Let’s build!

Our team moved to Bogota to set up the foundations for years to come: an exceptional team of entrepreneurs, an extensive network of investors and advisors, and the launch of Taximo, our first venture in Colombia.

After one year of operation in Bogota, we launched three new ventures; Aflore, Autolab, and VincuVentas.

We pivoted Vincu Ventas to a complete digital model as a response to de incresing digitization of the demographic (middle-class). .

Polymath arrived in Mexico to extend our impact in the region and pursue our purpose of transforming Latin America's middle-class.

We launched Elenas and learnt from Asia’s venture ecosystem through our office in China.

Crazy year, right? Amidst the crisis, we learned and thrived. We launched Polymath+, our co-building business with corporate partners, Autolab grew shop visits by 7X, and Elenas sales increased by 20X.
